I was only in middle school when I started out as a veterinary assistant here at Southlake Animal Hospital and have been caring for our pets ever since. I have worked hard to get to where I am now and I have done so by serving as a veterinary assistant, kennel assistant, veterinary technician and veterinary assistant. My staff are familiar with advanced veterinary diagnostics and treatment and are responsible for the care and care of all our animals and our staff. After graduating from veterinary school, I practiced small-scale veterinary medicine for two years at the University of Indiana University School of Veterinary Medicine in Bloomington, Indiana, and then practiced it for a few years in Fort Wayne before opening my own practice here in Valparaiso, Indiana, in 2010. Since then I work here as a veterinary assistant for the animal hospital South Sea and look after the pets of many different dog breeds, cats, rabbits, birds and other animals.
Four Paws Veterinary Wellness was founded to bring the best of Eastern and Western medicine to our patients "homes. We live in Zionsville in the Indy region, but we have patients in Valparaiso, Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, Bloomington and other parts of Indiana. Dr. Carlson and her husband live with their three children, two dogs and a cat, who have all lived at our home.

As veterinary nutritional therapists, we use the energetic properties of food to offer our patients nutritional therapy. Nutrition advice and natural allergy treatments are our primary means of integrating holistic medicine into traditional veterinary practice. LLC is a small pet home visit practice serving southern Indiana and the Louisville area. We are certified in holistic veterinary medicine, holistic food therapy and holistic nutrition.
Turenne's education in integrative care combines Western and Eastern therapies to help our pets live long, healthy and happy lives. Dr. Carlson began her career at the University of Indiana University School of Veterinary Medicine in Indianapolis and graduated with a DVM degree in 2002. In addition, she has received a certification in veterinary acupuncture and began a career as a veterinary nutritionist at Indiana Veterinary Medical Center in Louisville, KY. She goes to school to get certified in holistic veterinary medicine, holistic nutrition therapy and holistic nutrition and is expected to be certified in spring 2020. After a successful career in the animal care industry in New York City, Dr. Rodenbarger moved to Valparaiso and took up a position in a small animal and equine practice.
The department is staffed by veterinarians and veterinary technicians who assist students of veterinary medicine / veterinary technology in the care of animals of the Humane Society in surgical anaesthesia.
